Epiphaneia, the title of this new book by James C. Bull, derives from the Greek
language. It is the sudden manifestation or perception of the essential meaning
of something or an intuitive grasp of reality. Each character encounters his or
her own epiphany in the course of the story.
The book tells the story of the exploits of a
fictional physicist from Los Alamos, New Mexico, who, during the Cold War of the
early 50 s, brings off one of the largest tent sales of nuclear secrets in the
annals of the National Laboratory and his subsequent binge acquisitions of
famous works of art from Taos and Santa Fe.
